Suggestions on the best brand of MH's

Im looking for good MH bulbs for my 55 gal. I have seen Ushio, XM, Radium, German, and Corallife offered on many web sites. How do you know which ones to get? What do some of you guys use for MH? I've heard that Radium work great, but lose light intensity pretty fast, causing much fluctuation in light, and you have to replace them very often, like every 4 to 6 months....Yikes... Is there a bulb type that seems to be the best or is it all pretty much opinion?

I'm using a Ushio 10K bulb on my reef and am very happy with it. How do you know which is best for you?? Color preference is one, and read posts like this and see what everyone else is using and is happy with. I would not hesitate to recommend the Ushio bulds, some swear by Iwasaki, some Aqualine Bucshke, some hamilton.
