Sump ideas PH or Syphon

hey guys i am starting my 10 gallon sump for my 55g reef.

i had a syphon comming into the sump and a magna pump pushing it back the flow was so powerful that it couldnt balance so i gave up..

i have an overflow box but its too big for my tank so i was wondering sould i just use 2 power heads one to push water out and th same power one to push it back to the tank ?

i am planning on a DSB and some chaetomorpha to lower my NO3 maybe put my cpr skimmer in as well to rid the clutter

Still will not be the same due to head pressure. Just put a adjustable valve on the overflow line.

you can't pump OUT of your tank. you will end up with a mess. Why do you think your overflow is too big? it will only flow as much as the return pump can deliver.

its too bulky IMO is all but i guess it will do . just need to Syphon the U tube hopefuly find a tube or mouth to mouth blah !
