Greetings all,
I apologize in advance, because I'm sure this has been answered a bazillion times, but I couldn't find it using the search feature.

I have a reef-ready 75g tank, and I am looking to setup a sump system. Is there a "typical" way to do it? I've debated just buying a wet/dry system and adding lr and a protein skimmer. Kinda like this (I guess :?: ): http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=46310&item=4383946969&rd=1

Not super handy, but can assemble stuff, where necessary. I know that many have systems with just an aquarium or plastic tub, but I'm not sure what else I would need.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
David

It's VERY easy to do a DIY sump... just need a glass shop to cut some glass for you and a standard sized tank... 20L or even a 10 would be great! The bigger, the better. Check out this DIY documentation I did on DIY sumps. (if you buy them, unless you find a super nice one used, you'll spend over $250+). My setup for a 40 gal was under $80. My 20L sump before that was under $30. No brainer. :D

Thanks Rob,
That looks great.

And based on that sign in the background (UCSB), I know that it was done right!!!

I'll let you know how the project goes.

LOL. Yes. Make sure that if you can, document how you went about making it... even if you make mistakes. I'm sure others would like to know how easy (or not so easy) DIY can be. :D
