Depends on what lighting you are looking at and what your lighting demands are,

My light demand right now just has to be enough to support a birds nest sps and my soft corals and zoas. I'm looking at a Mars aquatics 300watt on eBay

I think you are going to be disappointed, especially if it has 90 degree optics. I would use 2 of the taotronics or similar panels and have even light across the entire tank.
I did a search for "mars aquatics 300 watt led" and came up empty handed. Can you post a link?

You can do a better job lighting your tank with two of these-
US Stock Dimmable Full Spectrum 165W LED Aquarium Light for SPS LPS Coral Reef | eBay
There will be no shadowing and enough light for whatever, wherever.

That light looks a lot like my light which is a 32" unit over a 4'x2'x2'tank. My unit has a built in dimmable timer though it's a reefbreeders photon and it's got good coverage and power down the sand mounted where the bottom of the unit is around 11" off the water surface

Extra bells and whistles. The more expensive ones are programmable, came make sunrise and sunsets, cloud cover, and even lightening storms. All these features are unnecessary though. All you need for the fixtures above are a pair or 5 dollar walmart timers for blue and white.
