Tang

Would I be able to keep a yellow tang in a 36 gallon bow front tank? Or is that too small?

Tangs are open water swimmers. Most of them require 6 ft long tanks to be happy.

check out live aquara make sure you check the specs on the fish as it will tell you what size tank each fish needs,
in the 36g no more than 6 fish max and thats stretching it
