Tang capacity??

I'm planning on doing a mostly tang aquarium. Just recently upgraded to at 250 gallon from a 90 full reef. Is 8 tangs too many for that size?

Most likely it would be the case. The biggest issue with tangs is that they will get aggressive towards any tang that looks like it so it would be extremely difficult to get them to coexist as there aren't that many different body types of tangs.
The good thing with a tank that size is that it is open to almost whatever tang your heart desires. It would be up to you finding which ones you like and slowly adding them into the system, being fed lots of algae sheets to help lower aggression of course. Even with that, I wouldn't want to go over 4 tangs...depending on what is chosen as size, difficulty to care for, and aggression can be major players in this decision.

As juveniles, no, but they won't stay small for very long. Yes, 8 is too many IMO.

That's too many if you ask me, 4 or 5 tangs is enough for this...
