tang veggies questions

hi all
my question today is for my blue hippo tang:
in feeding vegetable matter (ruffage)
i'm trying broccoli, spinach and sea vegies (lfs)

my tang will only eat the spinach that is not blanched
she wont touch the blanced spinch and broccoli
she wont touch the purple seawed either

should i continue to offer the unblanched spinach?
should i feed her the unblanched broccoli ?

she eats marine flake and everything else i offer
(daphnia, mysis shrimp, spiritulina enhanced brine shrimp)
i feed flake at 11 am then frozen food at 5-6 pm(decided at the time)
she is eating good but i want her to get ruffage
seeing she grazes on algae (all tangs do)
my tank doesnt have enough algae to suport her grazing
also i have no lr yet (working on it)

any thoughts on this fellas?
thanks

Find an oriental grocery store in your area and get yourself Sushi Nori sheets. Usually it's a package of 6 or more 8x10 Sheets that you can cut into whatever size you need. I've never paid more than 3 bucks for it and it can last for months, depending on strip size of course. My Yellow Tang, Flame Angel love the stuff..

Also you can go to a "market" if you will to or sometimes wal-mart, kroger, etc and find sheets of "dried/cooked seaweed". They are in sheets of 8.5x11 I think. I found mine at a world or central market. Paid $2.50 for 10 sheets. Also I lay out a sheet and put Zoe, Zelcon, garlic extract, and vitamin C on it and then let it dry...once dry, you can basically break a peice of it off and put on a clip and into the tank.

if you can get her to eat it, the broccoli is great in preventing HLLE

good luck
