i am looking into getting x10 modules to automate my tank as much as possible. I would like to have my computer run all of the lights and if possible water flow (change of flow direction) maybe even monitor water levels and more. Does anyone have input or experience with this?

Why computerize the lights? Thats just asking for trouble. And X10 can be spotty, especially on noisy circuits.

I read something about that...I can't seem to find the article, but I know I was looking for auto-topoff info at the time.

Hey Look at some compact PLC. I' saving up to get a Siemens LOGO. Every In/Output can handle 10A and it comes with Analog In/Outputs for Temp Sensors. The programming Software is free and if you don't want to use your computer you can programm the logo over the built in display.
