Hi guys

i was just wondering how often to do the specific tests the tests i have are:

calcium
magnesium
phosphate
oxygen
kh
ammonia
nitrite
nitrate
ph
copper

My tank has been running for 2 months and my water parameters are good:

calcium - 420
mag - 1350
phos - 0
kh - 8.8
ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - 10
ph - 8.3
copper - 0

I keep doing them once a week because i dont know how rapidly my calcium or mag levels will drop but i know this isnt necessary. please advise!!

Ca, Alk, and Mag, can be tested monthly unless you are unable to configure a consistent expected reading from dosing, then bi-weekly would be best. Typically you shouldn't see any NH3 readings 4-6months after your cycle and NO2 isn't detrimental to livestock for the most part. At best I would test these monthly, but every couple months or so would be sufficient. PO4 and NO3 can be tested at best bi-weekly, but monthly is also sufficient. I do not see a point in testing oxygen or copper unless a problem makes itself present. Your pH should be tested at the very least monthly, but better off bi-weekly.
