Dear all fellow SW enthusaiasts,

I was wondering what was the concencious on what you test for in your reef/fish tanks.

Also, what manufacturer you prefer in those kits.

Thanks, trying to see if I have all the neccessary ones.

I test for everything reefrunner mentioned. I also test iodine in my coral tanks. I use mostly Seachem kits, but, as they run out, I'm going to replace them with Salifert and give that a try.

I like my seachem kits. Never used salifert so I cant comment if they are better. But I can tell you that in my view seachem is much better than fasttest kits. I used to use those when i first started and I did not like the color scale nor did I like the fact that the kit only had .2 incraments

At the bottom of this page you will see a link that says Product and Retailer reviews. We have a section there for test kits. Take a look at what some fellow members have said about varous test kits and brands.

I use Hagen and test for everything that the others are saying..
