Test kits for reef testing

Now that i'm doing my research for my soon to be reef aquarium ( formally FOWLR) I've come up with a bunch of questions

I currently have the API master saltwater testing kit - this includes ph, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. I know I will be needing a calcium test, but what others are essential to have for the health of corals besides whats listed above if any? I know I need to purchase a few more tests, just not sure which.

I'd like to stick with the API, but if anyone uses a great reef testing kit, i'm certainly open to other options.

Thanks again
Melinda

Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium (always nice to have). Salifert and Elos are front runners or titrations and Pinpoint for pH (probe). In the long run all you really need are: pH, NO3, Ca, Alk, and Mag. NH3 is only needed for quarantine systems and cycling purposes (hand in hand).

API makes a master Reef Kit. But if you want Salifert test kits are great for SW.
