Once upon a time there was a Yellow Watchman Goby named Mike. He embarked on a terrible journey in bags and dark containers. After an eternity Mike was thrust into a very small tank with many, many other fish. Disoriented from the change of light and all the strange creatures walking past an invisible wall he quickly hid in the meager rock available to him. Every time Mike gathered enough courage to peek out of the rock a mean-spirited Flame Hawk named Rudy would relentlessly attach him and nip his fins. Many days later, Mike was hiding when 2 of the strange creatures stood next to the tank talking for what seemed hours. Mike just knew he was to be they're meal for the day. Suddenly, his rock santcuary was pulled up and away and he was left exposed to Rudy. Amidst the flurry of the attack, Mike found himself trapped in what seemed to be a green seaweed bag. Just as he started to panic he broke free only to find himself in another bag. His anxiety began to rise as an alien landscape flew past the outside of the bag. The two strage creatures exchanged what looked to be pieces of seaweed and he and his bag was placed inside another bag that he could not see through. He felt that he was moving but could not see where. The motion stopped, he heard an odd sound...a rhythmic beating sound and other sounds that were in harmony with the beating. He felt the motion start again. Eventually, the motion and the rhythmic sounds stopped and he was lifted up...moving again. The opaque bag was removed and he found himself over what looked to be a small, dimmly lit reef. He was still in his bag so he could not swim down to the rocks and hide not matter how hard he tried. A short time later, he was pulled from the water and placed into what he thought was another small tank but he could not see out of this one. The creature made a hole in the bag and he was released into the container. Then, unexpectedly another bag was cut and released into the container and he realized he had a cellmate, a small Pistol Shrimp named Sullivan. Introductions were made and they quickly began friends, huddling together in the container as the water level slowly rose. The creature came by some time later and removed much of the water but the level began to rise slowly again. This happened 2 more times. When the creature returned to remove more water Mike and Sullivan were very surprised to find themselves caught in another green trap and suddenly they found themselves in the reef. They both quickly darted for cover. They swam different directions in their haste and confusion. Weeks later, Mike had made himself a home in the sand under a rock and Sullivan had also....but they were on opposite ends of they're new home. They quietly mourn the loss of each others company. Mike has become used to his new home and has grown less wary of the other fish swimming overhead, swimming out not too far from his home when he senses food is nearby. Sullivan, however has not gotten his courage up enough to venture out and investigate, content to view the world outside his burrow from safely inside. Sullivan and Mike both wonder if they will ever be reunited with each other again.
