Things coming up through sand!

I have recently seen these things coming up through my sand. They are a brown color and I want to know what they are?

I've attached several photos...

I don't know their name but I have them too but I only see them when I am siphoning the sand bed. I thinlk they are some kind of filter feeders. I think but I could be wrong.
