I'm not 100% it was closed up tight when I got it and when I put it in. I think it's a standard trumpet.

Been reading through this thread and I have like a million questions! Lol I'm new to the salt water scene and want to grow corals....I want to ask a question but don't want to jack the thread.

I thought candy canes had a more red coloration - like my calaustrea in my 54 here is really green, but not kryptonite green... hmm.

Here is where I got my info:

This is what I believe I bought:

Saltwater Aquarium Corals for Marine Reef Aquariums: Trumpet Coral

Here is the Candy Cane version:

Saltwater Aquarium Corals for Marine Reef Aquariums: Candy Cane Coral

It appears trumpets are Caulastrea curvata and candy's are Caulastrea furcata.

I just think it looks pretty.

Lol - mine just sells it as caulaustrea - you have to figure out which species...
