Tips on re-aquascaping

I've decided I'm not overly fond of my current aquascape and want to redo it but being that it is an established tank with fish and corals not sure on how to do it. So any tips or helpful info would be most appreciated
 
I just took1/2 the rock out of my tank and rescaped with dry rock. The dry rock doesnt have die off so you dont have a cycle but it will take a while to become live so i only did half...

When I did my major Rescape I had two tubs of saltwater made so I could put my rocks with no coral in one and rocks with coral in the other. Then I did a massive cleaning on the sand bed siphoning out about 2/3s my water. I then rescaped and filled back up with the new water.
