Hi All,

My back panel is sprouting some algae ad you can see from this pic. And has been like this for a while neither getting better or worse.

Although there is no massive growth on my rocks or sandbed etc will this become a nuisance or is it helping balance chemicals and provide a better water balance?

As always thanks in advance

Andi

IMO algae scraping on the back glass is a loosing battle. I just let it grow as much as it wants on the back and keep the sides and front clean.

I'm much of the same opinion it give the tank a bit more character. Obviously if it got unsightly it would have to go.

Leave it,,the fish will nibble it and scraping it is really going to set off a bloom everywhere..A perfectly clean tank really isn't a good thing
