I am in the midst of a DIY filter/sump project and am wondering has anyone used anything like super glue for something that will be submerged and in contact with water.

I would use silicone, but I do not believe it holds plastic all that well.

Thoughts/recomendations?

Super glue works great as long as it contains cyanoacrylate. I recommend DURO Quick Gel. You can get a pak of 2 tubes from WalMart for around $2.

I use it to glue my frags to little pieces of live rock.

Great the stuff I use does contain cyanoacrylate. It is called zap a cap, best all around quick drying hobby glue I have ever found. I want to use it to fashoin a container to keep bio balls in place and filter media.

Thanks,
