His rock is too big to take out of the tank till the new 210 is set up.

Then I'd wait until you move him. They do hold quite a bit of toxins. Might not kill anything but might make your tank cloudy and make some of the other occupants uncomfortable.
 
I have talked to several people that have been in the hobby for a long time and they frag theirs right in the tank. They run carbon and do a PWC after. I'll let you know how it goes.
