Toadstool leather help

I bought this toadstool leather two days ago and it has began to develop this yellowing on one side. I think it may have been stung by my brain coral? Will it be ok if it was?

It should be fine Ben, Leathers are very resilient. They have periods of looking like crap. Every so often they tend to shrink down, and slough off a layer of skin. I've sworn mine was dead a few times, and it's always come right back after a little bit.
This is a pic of it now, after 6+ years. The one on the left is actually one of its offspring.

Yeah, I would say it looks like a Finger Leather too.
Best of luck with them!
