Hello I have a 38 gallon rimless nuvo aquarium. I have led lights on my algae sump and over the main tank. I unplugged my heater and the ambient air temperature in the house was 68 last night my digital thermometer still reads 82. I ran only the pump for the sump last night no skimmer or other power heads. Anyone have any ideas were the heat is coming from?

well, try testing the the thermometer, just to make sure its working properly... but ime thats not too hot. 82 is fine, in fact many people recommend running that high. It is toward the end of the spectrum though. I take it you don't have a hood or anything covering the aquarium?

First, I would find a way to verify that thermometer. If it's an in-sump return pump, you could be getting heat transfer from that......
