Torch

Anyone here ever had their clown try to inhabit a torch coral?

I have not personally but I have heard many hobbists talk about their clowns hosting in corals other than an anenome. A torch makes sense with its tenticles.

Clownfish will host a torch coral as long as the tentacles are long enough. If they're not long enough the clown will get irritated by the exoskeleton because they don't like hard surfaces.

Mine host in a hammer coral, a friend's host in his torch coral. My experience has been that a pair will "host" any spot they feel comfortable, be it a powerhead, cave entrance, or mushroom.

I wouldn't expect them to specifically pick it out though, just be pleasantly surprised if they do and the coral does not mind it.
