Are you sure the
RO membrane is correctly installed? If your tap water is 22, I fail to see how it's possible for the
RO to be 54 and the waste to be 65...not saying you're wrong...it just doesn't make sense. Your end product should have a
TDS of 0.
RO membranes are packed in fluid that needs to be flushed out before the unit is put into regular service. Did you flush the system before adding the
DI? If not, you may have contaminated the
DI cartridge. I would check installation of the
RO membrane (make sure it's not in backwards), then check the
TDS of the water coming from the
RO membrane. I would think, with a tap water reading of 22, that your
RO should deliver 10-12
ppm water. The
DI should take it to 0. If it doesn't, you may need to replace the
DI.
