So why do a couple of the heads look great:

Is it flow, lighting, etc on that particular side of it?

I really dont think they look that bad. Those might be younger than the others. The reason why they are smaller.

I see the feeder tentacles come out of all but those 2, which is my main reason for concern...

They look good to me. Here are three diff types placed in three diff areas of my tank. All pics done same time, right after feeding fish, with white & blues still on.
