Any thoughts on tube tanks? I was looking at a 60g that is essentially two 30g tanks connected with two tubes. Is water circulation a problem in these tanks?

Water circulation, could possibly be a problem, but it could be easily remedied with powerheads, I would recommend both sides have their own filter, if you are going to use a wet dry, I woul have the overflow box in one thank and the return in the other.

I agree, pull from one side, and return to the other. It would force circulation.
