Turned skimmer off :/

I was getting a large amount of micro bubbles in my dt and i think its from my skimmer in my sump
I have turned it off and the water has cleared up tremendously
It didnt produce much foam anyways almost nothing
Will my rank be fine with out the skimmer?

How long has the skimmer been running? must skimmers have a break in period. how is your sump set up? if the tank in question is the 27g cube then you would be OK without a skimmer, but you might have to deal with increased water changes.

Yea it is the 27 gallon and it has been running for about 3 months
I am just going to remove the skimmer
I do weekly water changes
Its a cpr bak pak skimmer which i bought used off craigslist for $40

their is a acrylic piece separating the first and second chamber
and a bubble trap separating the second and third chamber
