Unknown in my tank

Recently, I've discovered these small egg looking objects in my sump and overflow box. So far, I've counted 3. They have little hair-looking things coming out of the pointy end. Any idea what this could be? Could this be some kind of 'pod' ?

It is a off white-cream color.
