My copperband butterfly fish has not made an appearance in a few days now. I really liked him to. It's tough when you loose a fish.

Copper bands are super difficult to keep. Never know though.

Ok I have an emergency. My ato barrel backflowed into my sump causing a mess on my floor and my salinity dropped to 1.019. How can I raise the salinity. Should I do a water change to correct the problem? Will that bring the salinity back up to normal?

I am doing a water change. Hopefully that will correct the salinity level.

Mix the water with higher than normal salinity. Remove water from the system and replace it to bring it back up.
Good catch. That salinity isn't too out of whack.
