Using Caribsea Biomagnet Clarifier plus Prime

CaribSea BioMagnet Clarifier 16 oz - Marine Depot

I get a sample of this every time i get a new bag of sand for occasional additions. This stuff works great to have my water looking super clear.

I currently use a small dose of prime after each water change. I use real ocean water from Petco so Prime might be unnecessary as well but provides slime coat. Is it ok to use both? As I understand they combat completely different situations/issues and both very beneficial to use.

if you have proper filtration you don't need it ,

There is no reason for it or the prime you are using. The real ocean water is real ocean water and no chlorine or anything in there to be removed.

Prime also does not provide a slime coat, unless you're putting it on the fish itself. It's a great chlorine remover and can detoxify some ammonia, but that's all it should be used for IMO.
