UV Sterilizer?

Can you use a UV WITH CORAL? just curious, having trouble with algae, used it before I got some coral, may need it again. Thoughts?

What type of algae are you referring to?
I would address nutrient levels first.

You can, but a uv sterilizer will only address free swimming parasites and maybe some algae spores...but at the end of the day youll still need to look at the nutrients in your water column.

I have had pretty good success with a UV taking care of algae spores but my nutrients are in check as mentioned by the others.
