Vacation feeding

2012 vacations start soon tried the auto feeder and soon as it dumps the pellets they go right in the overflow into the sump !!! What should I do for a week ?? My fish can not go a day with out food there nuts so is the shrimp !!! I will buy anything that I need what is the best feeder ??
