i was wanting to put some veggies in my salt water tank to see what my emerald crabs might like, i was thinking of cucumber, broccoli, and spinach.

does anyone know of these veggies having any chemicals that the veggies produce/contain that i want to keep out of the water?

it may be an odd question but i dont know if these veggies are toxic to salt water creatures.

The are scavengers and also eat algae. If they don't have enough algae to eat, add some nori. You won't find much cucumber, broccoli, and spinach in the ocean <g>

i just thought they might like something new, for example, i put chicken in the crab cage, works very well but chickens are very rare in the ocean.

true those are in the ocean but id HATE to have one of those things being pinched by a crab in my tank.

I agree.
But...isin't tuna the, "chicken of the sea"?
