very fine sand :(
When I set up my tank the LSH said use this sand (?), its white and very fine like talc. I hate it. Fish stir it up into clouds, [acronym:fa994ed006="power head or Measure of the concentration of hydrogen ions, depending on context"]PH[/acronym:fa994ed006]'s blow it around, when I vac it gets sucked up very easily. Of course now , after 6 months, it has all good critters in it. Can I add reg play sand on top of it? Will this cause problems? Maybe crushed coral?

I don't see why you couldn't add regular sand on top of your "talc". All the good critters will work their way into it, and it should stay on top, with the finer grain staying on the bottom. I would not go with crushed coral. It really does collect a ton of muck, and requires a lot of vacuuming. I'd add lime-based playsand (back to the ole vinegar test!).
