I don't run a gfci they are pretty much the same as the breakers in ur closet or where ever ur house breakers are only more sensitive. Either way somethjbg trips

I think gfi is a ton more sensitive. If voltage in tank and your hand grounds the tank a gfi absolutely will trip. On the other hand a 20 amp breaker may not before you can a good jolt.

Yeah that's why people use them. The one in my kitchen. Trips sometimes for no apparent reason. It is safer
