Water change

I just put my new fish in yesterday and my water tested at .25 ammonia. Would it be safe for me to do a PWC with such new fish?

I would suggest adding Seachem Prime to the tank as well to lessen the effect of the ammonia in between the water changes.

Ok after my water change my ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all 0. But my PH is at 7.8-8.0. How do I bring it up???

It's best, and cheaper, to find a natural buffer. Aragonite works well...how much sand do you have?

Crushed coral works too, but if detritus gets stuck in it, you have nitrates. The solution is to put it in a fine mesh media bag.

You can use ph buffer like Seachem.

What's your alkalinity, general and carbonate hardness. Alkalinity help keep the pH buffered. Needs to be around 10 or 11 KH.
