Water Change

How long can I keep water in my mixing can before I use it? I made some water about three weeks ago and am finally getting around to using it. It has been in a Brut trash can with lid, heater and two pumps to circulate the water.

Safe to use or should I dump it and start over?

You can keep it in there for a long time. I mix my water through a week until I do my weekly water change. It is being circulated and covered so there shouldn't be any issues.

as long as it's kept circulated and covered it will last a while , but as it sits evaporation happens , so you may need to add fresh water to compensate for the water loss and to level out salinity level ,
