Water Changes & Replacement

Are there any rules of thumb for water changing? I'm replacing evaporated water on a weekly basis and then replacing 25% of the water monthly. My only concern is with the water being added changed are you losing all the beneficial bacteria and what not? :?

Beneficial bacteria do not live in the water column. They live on/in the rocks, substrate, and filtration equipment.

You are doing just fine. I normally change about 20% of my water every two weeks.
