How do I know if I have enough water movement. I've got a 30 gallon tank with a zoo med ps-20 and a fluval 204 filter. When I feed flake food the food moves around pretty good, however, it doesn't move very fast. Is there a good way to judge if you have enough current. BTW this is for a reef tank.

The amount of current depends on the types of coral in the tank. Some need more than others. As long as water is moving in all parts of the tank you should be ok. But you'll want to make sure that your current does accomidate the types of coral you have.

Saltyfishboy is right on the money. You will want some areas with a stronger flow and some with less flow, but you want the water moving everywhere. You aren't necessarily looking for velocity, as much as flow.
