Water Parameter Questions

ok..from my understanding, higher alkaline will precipitate phosphorous.

My alkaline is at 160, Ca is at 450, so why on earth, even after stuffing the fluvals full of phosguard, do I have phosphorous readings that are off the charts? Nitrates are at 10.

Check all the additives you put in the tank. I had a similar problem and it turned out I was adding a pH buffer which drove my Alkalinity up.
May not be the problem but its a start.

LFS is so lame that they only test for ammonia and nitrites.

I will have to buy another testkit somewhere.
