Water question

Ok so If I were to start an aquarium with locally caught fish and where to get water from the area would I be able to do that? Or is there any problem with that

Basically, you are most likely getting the fish from the ocean fairly inland, correct? There are a lot of pollutants close to the beach. but if you can go miles out to get the water you're good.

I was also told no because there will be parasites, leaches, etc.

I guess it's possible though.

The nearer the shore you collect, the higher your chances are of something nasty getting in your tank. If you were really set on collecting it would have to be done quite a ways off shore

Also be aware of "local laws" as some fish can not be collected or they have to be a certain size.

No collecting water from the beach is not a good idea, you need to go out quite a distance to get clean ocean water.

Well it's so I know for the future so it depends either the flats around tampa bay off a beach or if u go with a friend I can go offs shore

The regulations aren't really that complicated. The biggest thing is making sure ur within the size limits.
