Water temp

Well for what iv learned on these post is that water temp should be 80 degrees.. iv got a book that ive been reading. It says what temp should be at 77 . Are some fish that agile to temp.

( the book is The marine Aquarium Problem solver By Nick Dakin .

Thanks Again i just wondering what kind of responses i will get off this one.

From what I have learned, mainly from this forum, a temp between 79-84 is acceptable for a reef tank. I think stability here is the key more so than the actually temp. At least if its in this range.

I think you will find that most references stick together on the 77*-78* factor... If you were to walk out into tide pools in the FL Keys in dead heat of summer, you will find many fish in there that withstand temps in upwards of 90*... They of course have been somewhat tempered to this, but, in our tanks, if the temperature is constant, without much sway, it is acceptable to keep it at 82* - 84*...It has also been noticed by many, that parasites show up less often to never in water that temp... That is not doctrine, however, I have had very good results from it also....

I keep my temp @ 82* and my SG @ 1.025, during the summer months the temp is actually around 83*.

Thanks for the Kudos, Tim.
