Watermelon mushroom

i was given a Watermelon mushroom but i dont have any live rock just baserock. will these spread over the baserock or do i need some liverock? thankyou

They should spread out on just about anything that it can get a hold on. You should be ok. Your base rock will soon be live rock just give it time.
