Weird black fuzz...algae?
I've got an odd black fuzz that is all over my tank. It happened, literally, overnight. It's not covering everything, but it is dispersed throughout the tank, and it appears to be anchored. The overflow tube ... yeah, completely black. The only thing that's gone into the tank recently was a small piece of AquaStik coral epoxy putty. I am noticing lots of algae (hair, macros, etc) cropping up.
I'm thinking about an Atlantic Blue Tang to help w/ the algae (and yes, I know he'll need to be fed seaweed/baby spinach/etc as well) and I'll be setting up a fuge very soon for nutrient export.
But, does anyone know what this black fuzz stuff is? It's everywhere.
