Are you referring to the frag plug?

Whatever that thing is yes . Is that so it doesn't attach to the live rock?

No, usually frags come attached to a frag plug from when it was propagated

Looks like a polyp overinflated. Several causes for this. It will probably just go away.

Thanks I hope so. It's like right in the center by the mouth tho. I suppose we shall see what comes of it

Found this photo, obviously what you are talking about. Consensus seems to indicate it is a sign the frogspawn is about to make a new head.

My frog spawn did that and a month or so later the heads began to split. It started of as three heads and now has eight heads. One head split into four .

My frogspawn does the same thing, quite drastically too. My hammer does it too, but it is much less noticable. Yes, it's part of the splitting process and should last about a week. It's nopt always nice and round, sometimes it's kind of a distorted hemerroid.
