Weird Flakey Stuff On Top Of Water.

Hey everybody, I woke up the morning and I look at my 4g Pico Reef and the tank's water is very clear but the surface of the water has this white flakey stuff. In my prior tank I had more of oily look on top of my tank but never this, any ideas?

super extreme protein maybe? maybe skim the tip with a solo cup, see if it goes away. how much surface agitation you got?

Well I had some problems with the clarity of the water and my HOB filter had a some what of a ball valve to slow down the intake flow. So I tweaked it down and I guess that's the problem. It's Deep Blue HOB and it actually has a lip on the end of the return of the filter and directs the water straight ahead besides straight down towards the rock and sand which is nice.

x2 on surface agitation, that'll solve your problems.
