Wet Vs. Dry

I think i found the culpit of my cyano problem. I lowered my skimmer's foam level to lowest to save SW, thinking that it wouldn't affect the skimming process but after some reading, i guess it did. So im raising the foam level up but i don't know should i go wet or dry?

i've heard that wet skimming is more effecient but waste alot of SW? I don't mind wasting SW at the momment, so if i can varify that wet skimming is better, i'll go with that til my cyano is gone.

I'm one of those fishnutz, who are actually nutz.

I think the amount of water that it wastes would be minimal. I would skim wet.
