what are good parameters for green hair algae not to grow

I would have to say the opposite of what mine are! ;)

I have some much hair algae in my tank, I am going to buy some siccors to cut it.
 
I know you want your phosphates as close to zero as possible (if not zero). Same with Nitrates. I think PH may affect it too, but I'm not sure.

Don't do that. It will spread.

I agree with boardsurfer, get those nitrates down. Frequent PWCs should do the trick.
 
My trates have been at zero for the entire time the algae has been growing, so I am not convinced it has anything to do with nitrates.
 
Try pointing your phs on it, reduce lighting and feeding. Maybe go for 4-6 hours of lighting. Is there a possibility the tank is getting natural sunlight?
