I have a blue ribbon eel that was on the floor for I'm guessing about 15-30 minutes. I put him back in the water when I saw him move around a bit. He did swim around a bit - I tried to clean some of the guck off of him (which he didn't like). He swam around some more, and now he is hiding under some rocks.

Anything I can do to help him? He is such a gorgeous fish and I really don't wanna loose him.

His slime coat might have been damages so if you have any slime or stress coat to add it will help. I have heard stories of them escaping and found under furniture pretty dried and they seemed to bounce back to plot another escape.

Well I just made a pretty elaborate cover with wire mesh. not as clean as I'd like - but for now it will work.
