Hey all,

I tested my PH today about 4.5 hours after lights-on, and it was about ~8.6. I Just did 18% water change yesterday.

Most have problems maintaining PH, but what causes it to be too high?

Ammonia = 0ppm
Nitrates = 0ppm
Nitrites = 0ppm
dKH = 8
PH = ~8.6

Thanks,

Actually, Anthony Calfo wrote an article in his magazine "C....The Journal" that pretty much states we keep the ph too low in our tanks and that 8.6 is more the ideal. I would think if yours is staying there with no problems, I would leave it alone.

I agree, if it stays stable, you should be ok.

I have to agree with Lisa as I keep mine at 8.4. But as the others stated Stability is the key.
