I have got myself a couple of clowns but i'm not quite sure what type, when I bought them it did not say and I assumed they were sebae because of the colour, but after looking at some pictures I realise they are definately not these, they are exactly the same size, shape and have the same white patterns as a classic clowfish but they are black (or extremely dark brown), apart from an orange patch that covers their face, can anyone let me know what they are?

Could be clarkii, they are very simular to the sebae clowns. Any chance you could post a picture of them?

LOL! I guess I should have put those in too!

It could be a black percula as well. Sometimes they aren't all black. They can just be a really dark red to almost black. A picture could help.

If they are black percs, you got a good deal as black percs are twice the price of a sebae or any other clown. At least in my area. Good luck with them.

No problem. I agree, they are a lot nicer looking IMO. I really wanted some but I just couldnt shell out the cash for them at the time. So I have some half-bar false percs instead. They still look good though!
