I use a plastic food grade drum that I found on craigslist , mine is 55 gallon with a screw on lid ( it had pickles in it )so I was able to clean it out really good and might be a little bigger than what you were looking for but they do also come in smaller sizes. Picked mine up for 10 dollars.

I use a 20 gallon Brute plastic can with lid for my water, and 2 food grade 5 gallon buckets to tote it to the tank. The Brute ran about $17, and the smaller buckets were about $5 each, all at Home Depot.

You can get 20 gallon Brute food grade containers.

FWIW, in the BRS videos, I've seen the standard grey containers at the receiving end of their RODI systems.

I just use plastic trash cans. For a long time. Never considered they might leach something. Oh well, if it ain't broke...

Those wheels wont take the weight of 20 gallons of water

I use two of those containers - one for filling and mixing - the other to pull out the water so I am removing and replacing the same amount.

I wheel them all around the apartment ~15 gallons
